Belfast Books Returns Policy

Your Legal Rights  
Under UK law, goods you purchase must be:  
- Of satisfactory quality  
- Fit for purpose  
- As described  

If any of these rights are breached, you have the right to a repair, replacement, price reduction, or full refund.

Cancellation and Returns  
You have the right to cancel your order within 14 calendar days of receiving your goods. To cancel, you must notify Belfast Books within this period. After notifying us, you have an additional 14 calendar days to return the goods.

Condition for Full Refund  
To receive a full refund, items must be returned unused, unopened, and in their original packaging. If the item has been opened or shows signs of use, a partial refund or store credit may be issued because we cannot resell opened goods as new.

Faulty or Incorrect Goods  
If goods are faulty, damaged, or not as described, you may return them for a full refund, repair, or replacement. This right applies regardless of whether packaging is opened.

Items Exempt from Returns  
The following items cannot be returned unless faulty:  
- Perishable goods (food, flowers, newspapers, magazines)  
- Intimate or sanitary products  
- Hazardous or flammable items  
- Gift cards, downloadable software, health and personal care items  
- Bespoke or made-to-order goods  
- Items ordered from third parties

Please do not send returns to the manufacturer. Return postage costs for change-of-mind returns are your responsibility. We recommend using a tracked or insured postal service.

Refunds  
Refunds, including the cost of standard delivery to you but excluding any premium shipping fees, will be processed within 14 days after we receive and inspect your returned goods. Refunds will be made to the original payment method.  

If you have not received your refund within this timeframe, please check your financial institution and then contact us at customercare@belfastbooks.co.uk.

Exchanges  
We only replace items that are faulty or damaged. To request an exchange, please email customercare@belfastbooks.co.uk.

Sale Items  
Only regular priced items are eligible for refunds; sale items are non-refundable.

Gifts  
If your order was marked as a gift and shipped directly to you, you will receive a gift credit for the value of the returned item. Otherwise, refunds will be sent to the original purchaser.

A: If shipped directly to you as a gift, you'll receive gift credit. If shipped to the purchaser, refunds go to the gift giver.
